Parent Child Activities |
| |
Money Management and Budget Planning |
| Our November 2011 Parent Child Activity was at Weber State University. Parents learned how they can save money for their child's education. Children flipped and stacked coins, dug for "buried treasure" and "bought" items at a pretend store. Be sure to check out the photo album on our ecresource.org Face book page for some great photos! |

Preparing Your Child For Kindergarten |
We had a great turn out for our October Parent Child Activity, Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten!
The event was held at Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership. Families visited several learning activity stations to learn about staying healthy and about disabilities. Children learned how to cough into their elbows; how to wash their hands; germs; colds and flus; going to the doctor and the dentist; and healthy bones and healthy food.
Here are some fun photos from the event.
Be sure to check out the photo album on our ecresource.org Face book page for some great photos! |
The Great Outdoors |
We had a great turn out for our first parent Child Activity, The Great Outdoors.
Families walked the nature trail to Big Dee Sports Park and had fun playing tug-of-war and sack races. They danced the Hokey Pokey and made nature collages. There were also booths giving information about free community events and outdoor activities for the family.
Here are some fun photos from the event.
Be sure to check out the photo album on our ecresource.org Face book page for some great photos! |

Quotes from the Classroom |
| |
Last week, when we were talking about pirates, we talked about treasure maps during circle time. I asked the class, “What marks the spot?” They said, “X.” I told them that makes the letter X a pirate’s favorite letter. One of the children raised his hand and told me, “No teacher, R is their favorite letter.” |

| One day, I was talking to the children about Fall, the season. I asked the children, “Do you know what happens during Fall?” One of the children said, “Well teacher, you fall, you get hurt, and you can bleed.” So the other teachers said, “No, Fall.” Another child raised his hand and said, “Oh yeah, that’s when you eat too much and your belly hurts and you have to stop eating.” L.O.L.. |

Last year, when I was pregnant, one of the children asked me where my baby was. I told him in my tummy, and then he said, "Why did you swallowed it???" |
